Photographers in Bilbao

Bilbao is a city that rebuilt itself around a museum. The Guggenheim's titanium shell changes colour with the weather and gives an instantly recognisable backdrop, with Puppy, the Maman spider and the river walkways around it. Upriver, the Casco Viejo is seven medieval streets of tall façades and covered markets. The hills come right down to the edge of the city, so nearly every wide shot has green behind it. Rain is frequent and, on the reflective riverside surfaces, often an advantage rather than a problem.
