Photographers in Cádiz

Cádiz sits on a spit of land with the Atlantic on three sides, which means light from every direction and a horizon at the end of most streets. La Caleta beach, framed by two old forts, is where the city watches the sun go down. The old town is a dense grid of tall, pale houses and watchtowers, with small squares full of laurel trees. It is less visited by international travellers than Seville or Granada, which shows in the photographs — fewer crowds in frame, and a working coastal city rather than a monument.
